How can we make it work?
An approach to taking risks.
Do you support someone who wants to make risky decisions?
We have developed a resource to help you work through risky decisions together.
It recommends taking a curious, proactive and positive approach.
The guide contains a series of questions to lead you through the decision-making process. It explores real examples of how supporters respond differently depending on whether the decision maker understands the risks they want to take.
It also explores how decision makers and their supporters may need to work together to find creative ways to reduce harm that stay true to who the decision maker is and their preferences.
Taking risks is an important part of our lives. We hope this resource gives people more confidence to ask, “how can we make it work?”
After downloading and using this guide, we would love to hear your feedback.
